How to Direct-Download Movies

Direct-downloading is a way of downloading a file or files directly through a hyperlink that points to a location on the internet where the user can download the file. It is almost the same as copying a file from your friend's flash drive to your computer, but differs in many ways such as the file-transfer rate and the medium used for transferring the data.

Downloading is a fun thing to do, specially if you just downloaded a rare file (those which you just luckily found after searching for hours to days). In this article, we'll discuss how to download movies from the internet without using P2P's like Bit Torrent, eMule, etc, but directly downloading it from a server. Here's what you'll need:
I specified Mozilla Firefox as the browser to make sure that this will work, and also because the browser I used in the screenshot is Mozilla Firefox. But you can still use your favorite browser if you like. Let's get rolling!
1. First, close all your internet browsers and install IDM.
2. Open your browser and go to Google, then in the search textbox, type the following without quotes:
"MOVIETITLE YEAR DVDRip XviD site:movshare.net"

In the example above, the year and the codec is not specified. It is for us to gain more results. You can search with the movie title alone but don't forget to include the 'site:movshare.net' syntax. The YEAR, DVDRip, Xvid are optional, and used to narrow down your results and to get a specific release because this is the standard in warez naming.
3. Click the correct movie in your search result and you will get this screen:
Sometimes this screen won't appear and it will go directly to the video page as seen in the next screenshot.
4. You'll might be prompted to install the DivX plugin, but just ignore it as you will not watch the video in your browser. Just click the "Download this Video" as shown below.
5. After clicking "Download this Video" button, this dialogue box will appear. Click "Start Download".
As you can see, the file size is almost 1.4 GB. This is one of the indication that you are downloading the correct file (an avi file, not an flv file). Others have 700 MB of size. Some files are in between these two because the size varies in the movies' duration.
You are now downloading the file and all you have to do is wait for it to finish.
6. While waiting, you can search for its subtitle. Just follow the following screenshots:
Go to http://www.subcene.com/ then type the title of the movie you are downloading.
Click the appropriate title in your result.
Scroll down to the English subtitle with the right release. In the example, the 'aXXo' release, but there is no english sub for it so try other release with the same source (DVDRip)
Click download English Subtitle
Start Download
7. When the movie you are downloading is finished, place the movie and the extracted subtitle file in a separate folder.
And rename them properly.
Rename also the folder.
8. Now, all you have to do is test if the movie and the subtitle is synced.

If you find that the dialogue matches the subtitle timing, then you got the right subtitle for it! Otherwise you can download again another subtitle until you have the correct one for it.

That's it! Gather your friends now and watch a movie!
